Dr. Jed Burton Brings a Compassionate Approach to Every Patient

Dr. Jed Burton combines a strong academic background with a genuine commitment to helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their dental care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Western University College of Dental Medicine in 2014, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class and earning dean's list recognition throughout dental school.

Following graduation, Dr. Burton's clinical abilities and talent for teaching led him back to Western University, where he served as an assistant professor in the College of Dental Medicine. During his time in academia, he also continued treating patients in private practice, gaining valuable experience before joining Drake Family Dentistry in January 2018.

Committed to Advanced Dental Care

Dr. Burton believes continuing education is an important part of providing patients with comprehensive, modern care. Over the years, he has pursued additional training across multiple areas of dentistry, expanding his ability to provide treatments such as:

  • Invisalign clear aligners
  • Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique
  • Dental implant placement
  • Oral surgery
  • Root canal treatment

He also stays connected to the dental profession through membership in organizations including the American Dental Association and the Academy of LDS Dentists.

Caring for Patients and the Community

Compassion is an important part of Dr. Burton's approach to dentistry. He has volunteered his time and skills with the Special Olympics, Care Harbor LA, and clinics providing dental care for children, individuals with special needs, and medically complex patients. These experiences have strengthened his commitment to meeting each patient with patience, empathy, and understanding.

For Dr. Burton, creating a positive dental experience means more than providing excellent treatment. He wants patients to understand their care, feel at ease in the dental chair, and leave their appointments confident in the decisions they have made for their health.

Outside the office, Dr. Burton enjoys spending time with his family and five children and staying involved with his church. An Eagle Scout himself, he has also continued the tradition of service by volunteering as a Boy Scout leader since 2012.
